The Vampire Diaries Season 6 is taking some unforeseen turns. Fans of “Delena” will be heart-broken to find out that the initial trailer indicates that Damon and Elena are done, for this season at least. There are indications that Damon might end up falling in love with Bonnie while Elena develops feelings for Liam.

This could be the beginning of a break in their relationship. Damon and Bonnie have spent a lot of time together and they were seen holding hands in The Vampire Diaries Season 6 poster, apart from Elena and Stefan. A romance might develop between Damon and Bonnie by the end of the sixth season.
The Vampire Diaries Season 6 shows Elena taking a giant step in her relationship with Liam, when she gets ready to tell him that she is a vampire. She invites Liam for Thanksgiving dinner and then decides to reveal the big secret since she can now trust him entirely. However, viewers will have to wait to see how Liam handles the news. Will he sit there and accept it or run for his life on realising that the woman of his dream is a blood sucking vampire?
Things are heating up in another aspect this season. The Vampire Diaries Season 6 sees Caroline come clean about her feelings for Stefan. She says that she has romantic feelings for him, to which Stefan asks how he could have missed such a thing and why Caroline felt something for him.
Caroline has since a very long time harboured romantic feelings for Stefan, but she had denied it far too long. However, fans know that she isn’t over him like she claims to be. This is not how you speak out about feelings that you no longer have!
There are chances of Stefan reciprocating Caroline’s feelings, because when asked if he feels the same, he says it’s not that he doesn’t feel for her, but he isn’t very sure about what he feels. Fans are hopeful as long as it isn’t a complete denial!
Caroline and Stefan, however, won’t be spending much time together in The Vampire Diaries Season 6 because Stefan is headed out to investigate Gemini Coven in Portland with Alaric. Maybe time apart from each other will make Stefan and Caroline realise their true emotions for one another.

Stefan will realize that his feeling for Caroline is that of friendship. He knows that Elena is his 1 true love and that she is his soulmate. So by the end of season 6 Stefan and Elena will renew their love. Damon will move on, he’ll know that Elena truly does not love him. I believe the travelers were lying. The dopplegangers are destined to be together. The magic will be lifted from Mystic Falls and all can return home once again.
