Thor 3: Ragnarok is one of the most awaited superhero flicks of 2015. It is based on the comic book story of mass destruction, titled Ragnarok. Initial speculations claim that Asgard will meet its end in Thor 3, along with the fall of Thor, which, as a result, causes a split in The Avengers! However, as the initial reports suggest, Marvel has quite a few ingenious plans before Thor 3 hits the big screen!
According to the rumor mills, the storyline between Thor 3 and The Avengers 2 packs a three-year time void, which packs in numerous adventures. Hence, a few more movies that can be made on the timeline interval! The best example of this is Doctor Strange, whose story is based eight months into the timeline, although, much is yet to be known about the title.
Experts believe that the upcoming movie will bring a drastic change to the basic MCU of the plot, even though the fans are left with no choice but to speculate about the scenario until the makes come up with some official confirmations. There is no news on the fate of Odin, as the fans can only guess if the God of War is still trapped in his mortal armor!
At the end of Thor: The Dark World, the makers, have put on the impression that Odin is dead, and Loki is impersonating him, in order to rule Asgard! Kevin Feige, President, Marvel Studio, had quite a few interesting things to say about the upcoming installment to the popular franchise, to the reporters of i09.
“I am not sure about the future. My guess is anything is possible. We at Marvel, have a certain way of looking at our projects, following a pre-defined layout, which includes two phases at the least. The Avengers was phase 1, Thor 3 is currently phase 2 and we will certainly work towards finding phase 3. People might think that each project is separate, but on looking closely, you will realize that things have been planned and executed in a phased manner.
In fact, Thor, The Avengers, and Thor 2 are part of a trilogy! Mapping the relationship between the two brothers has been fun. We first met the two brothers when they were kids, listening to stories from their father. While Thor never wanted to be king, Loki eyed the throne. Odin considered Thor to be his true successor, hence, annoying Loki to the extent that he severs ties with his family and goes all out in the pursuit of power.
