EA has released each of the games from The Sims franchise, at an interval of five years. If EA maintains the same schedule, then they would have five years to work on The Sims 5, since the release of The Sims 4 in 2014. However, since the technologies they are planning on incorporating saw a surge only in the past year, fans feel that EA might take a longer time develop the game in question.
EA has learned their lesson with the response to The Sims 4. They realized that the only way to save an aging franchise would be to incorporate the latest technologies into it. With VR technologies and head gears, EA can breathe in a new lease of life to the famous yet old franchise and help transform the gameplay.
The news about the VR technology has already created quite a buzz in The Sims community, and they are waiting for more updates from EA. There aren’t any news of EA dropping the game since it enjoys support from the gaming community.
