Game developer Maxis Studios and game publisher EA have already announced that the next expansion pack coming to the life simulation video game ‘The Sims 4’ is officially titled “City Living” and will come out in November.
However, it seems that before the official rollout of the “City Living” expansion pack, something else will be coming to the game and it is going to be scary.
The hint actually came from Ilan Eshkeri, “The Sims 4” composer, when he recently tweeted that Simmers should expect something scary soon for the life simulation video game. He also added several spooky emojis on his post on Twitter including ghosts and spiders.
Apparently, Eshkeri is alluding to the possibility that a Halloween update shall be coming to the game prior to the arrival of the “City Living” expansion pack which would hit the PC game in November, reports The Bitbag.
Indicative that Eshkeri may have spoken a little too much in his tweet, he has since deleted the post from his Twitter account.
It remains to be seen whether that something spooky he mentioned is a stuff pack, a game pack, or an expansion pack. But it seems unlikely to be an expansion pack since “City Living” is going to be one and Maxis Studios would not dare release two expansion packs in a span of less than a month.
A spooky music
Relevant to the hint of Eshkeri, he also uploaded a video on his Instagram account alluding of a spooky music. Subsequently, the Sims Community had re-uploaded the video on YouTube.
But the game publisher has since taken down both posts in a bid to stop the leak from further spreading.
However, a Brazilian fansite called AlalaSims appears to have reuploaded the video and thus far, it is still up and running.
Based on those who have seen and heard the sound on the video, the music is really spooky. When Eshkeri added the word ‘Dracula’ in the video, gamers knew that he was hinting at something involving supernatural entities.
If the previous reports are true that the “City Living” expansion pack would not contain any new life states, then the spooky things that Eshkeri were alluding to will not come with the November content but an entirely different set of new contents.
To come with 30 new lots in all
Meanwhile, numerous details about the “City Living” expansion pack has started trickling to Twitter over the weekend and mentioned that there would be 30 new lots altogether, including more than one penthouse, a more affordable two-story apartment, and a fancy three-level flat, reports iDigital Times.
Emily Zeinner, a former “The Sims 4” concept artist who worked on “City Living,” has been posting some of her designs on Twitter.
She pointed out the many objects that gamers did not notice in the trailers and teasers including a platformed bed and new wall lighting, both styled like something one would see in an industrial loft building.
Previous reports have it that the new expansion pack shall bring exciting stuff including a city world, new tourist non-playable characters, cultural food, and a lot more.
It was the game enthusiast with the name of The SimsScraper who took to Twitter recently to share what the contents of the upcoming DLC.
It is also reported that “City Living” could resemble the previous game DLC entitled “Dine Out” but with a more modern feel. It also gives Sims more urban inclination wherein they can stroll around a bustling city, browse tall apartments and penthouses, and socialize in the cityscape.
The previous leak by The SimScraper also revealed that the upcoming DLC will see a city world which shall feature new lot type apartments and a regular lot on high-rise penthouses.
The tourist non-playable character will be exuding different priorities and habits than townies. They check city map and like to take selfie snaps more frequently. They also tend to go together in a group of three or six Sims.
