The latest DLC for the life simulation game “The Sims 4” called as the Restaurant Game Pack has already arrived on the PC a few weeks ago and PC gamers have been enjoying it already.
However, that cannot be said yet with “The Sims 4” gamers on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 as the DLC appears to be having some technical glitches that it simply cannot be rolled out just yet.
While game publisher Electronic Arts (EA) promised that the game shall be released this spring on the gaming consoles, reports have it that porting problems have prevented the DLC from coming through. Thus, it is likely that the DLC shall come to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 at a later time this year, although EA has yet to make an official statement about it, reports Game N Guide.
The latest “The Sims 4” DLC has been confirmed to include the Restaurant Game Pack, previously reported to come out this spring, and the Kids Stuff Pack, which is scheduled to be released in the coming summer.
The last time that EA released stuff packs DLC on the game was on February 9, following the launch of Romantic Garden.
A teaser trailer of the Restaurant Game Pack on “The Sims 4” was previously uploaded on YouTube showing a waiter taking order from a couple. The clip also showed a lady is crying while talking to a clown.
The next scene featured a kid playing with a horse next to a chest full of toys, which is for the Kids Stuff Pack.
According to a gamer on The Sims Forum, the 15-second video teaser is the first of the seasonal previews for “The Sims 4” DLCs this year, which means one DLC for every three months.
Infamous clown is back
A clown has appeared in the 15-second video clip for the latest DLC for “The Sims 4” and reports have it that gamers should prepare to say goodbye to Jasmine Holiday and say their hello to the Tragic Clown.
Apparently, EA has reprised the infamous Tragic Clown to replace Jasmine. However, instead of making gamers happy as what normal clowns do, the Tragic Clown has the intention of making gamers’ Sims unhappy, notes iDigital Times.
If a player will view the painting of the Tragic Clown, he should be careful because the clown will appear and try to cheer him up which would make him sad instead.
The clown outfit can be found in the Create a Sim menu and if a player Sim is tough enough to actually wear the Tragic Clown suit, he should also brace himself for the ultimate sadness because the mood that he would be sharing to other Sims would surely be weepy.
Passing on the sadness
The Tragic Clown will also spill over misery and sadness to other gamers’ Sims. If a gamer, for instance, would try out his juggling skills as a clown, he sure would be disappointed because he will fail miserably every time.
Although the Tragic Clown can be used to cheer up other sad Sims, he would not be successful because as the saying goes, ‘misery loves company.’ So the moodlet will give the player Sim a glimpse of happiness but surely not enough to overcome the ‘tears of a clown’ moodlet.
Meanwhile, EA has also released recently the latest patch to “The Sims 4” that addressed a few game glitches. Some of the more glaring glitches happen when their Sims are directed to put food away in the fridge and they sit at the pool instead, the custom music playing at all venues and a few more.
The patch also helped solved the problems of Mac users who have over 2001 mods because they can now access the gallery with hardly any issue.
