Meanwhile, “The Sims 4” shall remain a PC game because a representative of EA has just confirmed that there is no plan to port the game on the current generation gaming consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
On a tweet on July 26, Lyndsay Pearson of EA said that their company has no plans to release a console version of “The Sims 4” anytime in the near future. She told gamers to just ignore the rumors.
There have been rumors as early as last year that there were ongoing efforts to port the game to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 but there were some technical glitches that had to be ironed out.
Late in June, reports also came out that because of the technical difficulties in porting “The Sims 4” to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, the game developer has decided to cancel the plan to release a console version of the game.
The statement made by Pearson late in July seemed to have confirmed that EA might have indeed abandoned its plan to release a version of the game on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
Critics believe that the dismissal to the rumors by Lyndsay Pearson came rather a bit late since the speculations have begun as early as last year. She could have quashed and debunked the speculations back then if the intention was indeed to make a clarification.
