‘The Sims 4’ Expected to Have Another DLC, Debunking Rumors that ‘City Living’ DLC is Going to be the Last for the Game

The latest expansion pack to the life simulation video game “The Sims 4” was rolled out to the PC on November 1 and there were rumors shortly thereafter that the DLC, entitled “City Living” is going to be the last for the game.

The same speculations are saying that the game developer Maxis Studios will start work on the development of “The Sims 5” which is the reason why “City Living” DLC is the last to be released by game publisher Electronic Arts (EA).

However, latest reports have it that “City Living” DLC is not going to be the last as Maxis Studios and EA are seriously working on the development and not-too-distant release of several more patches for “City Living” and the final DLC for “The Sims 4,” reports Game & Guide.

In fact, the same rumors are also saying that the development of “The Sims 5” has been put on hold pending the release of the final DLC for “The Sims 4.”

But neither Maxis Studios nor EA has confirmed whether there is going to be another DLC after “City Living” or will they go straight to working on “The Sims 5.”

So far, so good

As far as the latest DLC for “The Sims 4” is concerned, players appear to be having a great time with its brand new environment as it is far from the vast, suburban neighborhoods found in the base game.

There are also reports saying that a patch for the “City Living” DLC will also be arriving which would unveil more apartments and sky-rise homes for the Sims.

It shall reportedly take dating to a whole new level with real-time online connections of the Sims. It shall also use the mechanism of the social dating site Tinder which is one of the cool new features of “The Sims 4” and possibly be transposed to the upcoming “The Sims 5” especially if gamers give it the warm reception.

While Maxis Studios and EA no longer had plans to release another update to “The Sims 4” after the “City Living” DLC, the success of their latest offering has reportedly prompted them to forego “The Sims 5” for the time being while they continue to explore and milk the potentials of its latest DLC.

Jasmine Holiday returns

Incidentally, Jasmine Holiday is back in “The Sims 4” for another triple boost week. But it would be a satisfaction boost this time around.

Once players update their games, they would have the ability to contact Jasmine Holiday to receive a reward. She will give the player the option to gain 3X satisfaction or a 3X slower decline in needs, reports iDigital Times.

In order to activate the boost, the player must call Jasmine Holiday using the Sim’s cell phone and she will appear in the Sim’s lot shortly. The player will get the option to ask about possible two boosts including Satisfaction Gain and Slower Needs Decay.

Choosing satisfaction will give the player triple the satisfaction points after completing personal whims. Slower Needs Decay means he would have way more time before his Sims get cranky each day and won’t have to worry about their happiness and comfort. This is perfect for leveling up skills and career performance.

It should be noted that players can use satisfaction points to purchase various rewards. He can then enter the aspiration category in the bottom menu to access the reward store.

But players should also bear in mind that they can only use one boost at a time. Jasmine will let him change his mind and choose a different one. But he has to call her again in order to do that.

the sims 4

Satisfaction boost on “The Sims 4” shall only be made available until November 28.

Incidentally, after a rather procrastinated release date, Maxis Studios and EA released on November 1 the latest expansion to “The Sims 4” entitled “City Living.”

The expansion may not have turned the game into an open-world sandbox but it made“The Sims 4” bigger than it ever has been before.
