With the patch, EA assured gamers that the correct version of the video game will automatically be chosen without needing player intervention. Lastly, the patch also fixes bugs and other issues of the game.
Cinema Blend notes that EA and Maxis have notably changed their strategy around new contents for the life simulation game.
Since the game was released in September 2014 for Microsoft Windows and in February 2015 for Mac, “The Sims 4” did not have much content as its predecessors.
“The Sims 3” had tons of expansion packs while “The Sims 4” created the alternatives in the form of stuff packs and game packs, both of which offer more contents at a slightly lower price than full expansion packs.
So far, the video game has released two game packs and four stuff packs. The Outdoor Retreat and Spa Day game packs are both available for $19.99.
The first paid DLC was released in January while the second one came out in July.
Stuff packs, on the other hand, cost $9.99 per pack and offers players extra items or clothing to expand the library of “The Sims 4” content.
The Luxury Party stuff pack came out in May followed by Perfect Patio stuff pack in June. By August, the third stuff pack called Cool Kitchen came out and Spooky stuff pack was released in time for the Halloween season.
