While all eyes and ears of fans are focused on the impending release of Teresa Giudice from prison with regards to the start of production for Season 7 of the American reality TV series “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” on Bravo, a new housewife is rumored to be joining the cast of the show.
After the exit of Amber Marchese from the cast, the network has searched long and wide for a possible replacement and they seem to have found a perfect housewife for the cast. She is no other than Siggy Flicker and reports have it that she was already offered a deal to officially join the seventh season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” reports Buddy TV.
Siggy Flicker, 48, is a professional matchmaker and author who is no stranger to TV. Some of her books include “Write Your Own Fairy Tale: The New Rules for Dating, Relationships” and “Finding Love on Your Terms.”
She has previously appeared on the reality TV series “Why Am I Still Single?” that aired on VH1 not too long ago.
Flicker has been professionally consulted on matters of relationships by various TV talk shows including “The Today Show,” “Good Morning America,” “Dr. Phil,” “The Wendy Williams Show,” “Access Hollywood,” and “NBC Morning News,” among many others so appearing on the small screen is no longer new to her.
Siggy lives with her husband Michael in New Jersey along with her daughter and son from a previous marriage, and Michael’s two children also from a previous marriage.
Useful for the relationships of the other housewives
The producers think that Siggy would be very handy in the event that she agrees to join the show because her professional experience would enable her to help the other cast members regarding their respective relationships.
A source from the network said that producers really wanted someone who has been successful enough in her profession to add to the mix of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” and Siggy obviously makes the grade.
Once Teresa goes out of jail, her rift with Melissa will still be there so the entry of Siggy might be able to patch things up between the two ladies. But it is possible that she can also add some more drama to the mix with her own personal struggles.
In addition to Siggy Flicker, there are reports stating that married couple 34-year-old Robyn Levy and 37-year-old Christina Flores shall also be among the fresh faces who will be joining Season 7 of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” according to Radar Online.
Spinoff series did not do well
The three-episode spinoff series of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” did not do well in the ratings during its three-week run at the Bravo network last month.
Titled “The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Teresa Checks In” which aired beginning on October 11 had Bravo network officials getting worried for the special’s less-than-expected ratings.
The network producers were said to have been so worried on the spinoff series’ low ratings that they have reportedly entertained the notion that Teresa Giudice, the lead actress of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” may no longer be as popular as before and that she does not have that too many fans anymore too.
They averred that the spinoff series is the first time in nearly 15 months that fans would be able to finally hear from Teresa while behind bars and on the final months of her 15-month prison sentence at the Danbury Correctional. But the low ratings apparently indicated that fans were seemingly not interested.
However, it is possible that fans were already aware that Teresa will not be featured in the spinoff series in her actual self because she will just be in the show through phone calls, which is why they decided that the specials is almost like Teresa is not there at all.
The spinoff series focuses more on Joe, Teresa’s husband, and their four daughters, trying to cope up with her absence in the household.
