‘The Originals’ Season 4 to See Hawley Getting an Unlikely Help to Rescue the Mikaelson Clan from Marcel’s Spell!

Marcel Gerard, played by Charles Michael Davis, has put practically all of the Mikaelsons in deep slumber with a linking spell made by Freya, played by Riley Voelkel, that tied all of them to the life of Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan.

As it is the only Mikaelsons remaining to save their family are Hayley Marshall, played by Phoebe Tonkin, and her daughter Hope with Klaus.

While many were expecting that the Mikaelsons shall be able to turn the tables on the angry Marcel with the return of their sister Rebekah, played by Claire Holt, during the Season 3 finale, that did not happen as Marcel was able to overcome them all.

Klaus made the ultimate sacrifice to save his family from the wrath of Marcel. But not before Freya gathered blood from all her siblings to use in a linking spell and put them all to a deep sleep after tying their lives to Klaus. All four of them were under the spell including Rebekah, Freya, Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, and Kol, played by Nathaniel Buzolic.

The finale episode also saw Marcel watching over Klaus’ body, feeling something for what he just did to his former friend, either regret, remorse, or just sadness. Then he entombs Klaus in some unknown location, apparently set on leaving him that way until he decides to remove the blade and end Klaus’ torment.

Executive producer Michael Narducci almost confirmed that Hayley shall make the next move now that the Mikaelsons are down and she will try to communicate with them through their dreams.

Narducci said that Hayley will look to find a way either by using her own vampire power or by using a witch to try to communicate with the four Mikaelsons in the dream world.

The showrunner said that Hayley has a giant puzzle to figure out in order to cure everyone and given that everyone is dying from a wolf bite, fans should already have an idea whom Hayley might turn to for help.

A time jump in Season 4

Latest reports have it that Hayley shall get an unlikely ally in the fugitive Keelin, to be played by Christina Moses, and her grown daughter Hope, in order to save and wake up the Mikaelsons from their deep slumber, reports the Parent Herald.

Keelin is reportedly a fugitive werewolf who has trouble defining her sexuality, indicating that a werewolf and two Mikaelson vampires shall forge an unholy alliance to overcome Marcel’s spell.

However, Narducci also said that Season 4 of “The Originals” shall feature a time jump that would see Hayley, Hope, Klaus, and the rest of the Mikaelson family reuniting in the future.

The time jump would also be similar to the one used in its parent series “The Vampire Diaries” during its Season 7 which would give fans the mystery of how things happened and how Hayley, Keelin, and Hope were able to rescue the Mikaelsons from Marcel’s spell.

The producers of “The Originals” are reportedly looking for an actress who shall play the role of Hope Mikaelson.

Drawing on the help of the Salvatore brothers?

There are also rumors going around saying that it is possible that the Mikaelsons shall be rescued from Marcel’s spell by the Salvatore brothers, Damon and Stefan, from “The Vampire Diaries.”

It could perhaps happen through the expected crossover episode between the two TV series but executive producer Julie Plec, who created both shows, has yet to confirm the rumors, notes Game & Guide.

The Originals Season 4

The crossover episodes of “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 and “The Originals” Season 3 earlier this year were criticized by some pundits as superfluous and the plotlines half-baked.

However, with the predicament that the Mikaelsons are into, the Salvatore brothers have a good reason to visit New Orleans so it is possible that one or both of them could show up in “The Originals” Season 4.

There are speculations that it is possible that either Damon or Stefan or both would help remove the Tunde blade from Klaus’ heart to save the rest of the Mikaelsons.
