Neil Jackson has been cast as Alistair Duquesne, a vampire whom Klaus will interact most of the time in the upcoming season. Reports suggest that he will be a huge help to Klaus’ recuperation from the effects of the blade.

Christina Moses has also been added as Keelin, a bisexual werewolf, while Keahu Kahuanui will play Eddie, Joshua’s potential new boyfriend who is aware of the supernatural.

The show was moved to a midseason premiere and the episode order to 13, almost half than the previous seasons creating rumors of a cancellation. However, The CW and the producers of the show have not yet addressed the issue.
