The third season of the American supernatural drama TV series “The Originals” on The CW will air on the small screen on October 6 and it shall primarily focus on the different aspects of the Mikaelson family featuring Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, and Rebekah, played by Claire Holt.
During the ComicCon 2015 held in San Diego, California last month, showrunners of “The Originals” revealed that Season 3 will explore the dynamics between the Mikaelson siblings. They also revealed that the Mikaelsons will meet their offspring for the first time.
However, the meeting will not be pretty, they added, as the sired vampires will come to New Orleans seeking power and vengeance, details the Latin Post.
According to co-creator Julie Plec, while the Mikaelsons have finally put their own parents and their dysfunction to rest, their first line of children will come to town with similar resentments and similar feelings of having been neglected, abused, and just generally mistreated.
Fans would recall how the Originals vanquished those that raised them so they could just imagine what their first line of sired vampires would have to say about them as parents.
Three new vampires
Co-creator Michael Narducci also revealed that Season 3 will introduce at least three new vampires in the series and they were actually the first vampires who were ever sired in history.
He explained that witch Davina, played by Danielle Campbell, will face a conflicting dilemma. He went on to disclose that there is a definite threat from Davina and the witches and the threat will be played out on the second episode.
Davina will try to figure out a way to bring peace for her people as a serious and responsible leader that she wanted to be, adds Narducci.
The new vampires, however, will apparently attempt to lure Davina into their fold in exchange for some concessions and fight the Mikaelson. So the dilemma on Davina would really be quite serious too as she has been a known ally to the Mikaelson siblings.
Brutal fight scene
Reports are rife that Klaus Mikaelson will have a brutal fight scene in Season 3 of “The Originals.” Given his temper and his dislike for being under the radar, it is not surprising to see Klaus going at it with just about anybody that the series can throw at him, notes Cartermatt.
Actor Joseph Morgan refused to disclose any details of the rumored fight scene and even the whereabout of who Klaus will be battling against, but he made some hints when he was quoted in a recent interview as saying that there was an emotional content to the fight and that it’s a long time coming.
It has also been reported that Hayley, played by Phoebe Tonkin, will spend at least one episode stuck in her wolf form that she was cursed into during the Season 2 finale. She could eventually be one of the many people with motivation to fight Klaus.
If there is one character in the series who has made his fair share of enemies, it is no other than Klaus.
“The Originals” is a spin-off series of “The Vampire Diaries,” which centers around the Mikaelson siblings. The backdoor pilot, which aired on April 25, 2013, also revealed that the werewolf Hayley is pregnant with Klaus’ child and would, therefore, become part of the cast.
The series began with the original siblings returning to the city of New Orleans for the first time since 1919. Having originally built the city, they had been forced to flee from their vengeful father.
