Season 3 of the American supernatural drama TV series “The Originals” on The CW will air its penultimate episode on December 3 before its winter break and it shall feature a mind game between former lovers Aurora de Martel, played by Rebecca Breeds, and Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan.
Episode 8 of “The Originals” shall have the title “The Other Girl in New Orleans” and it shall see Aurora continuing her game with her former lover Klaus, who is really not thrilled and amused at all.
However, Klaus will have no choice but to take Aurora’s bait when he found out that it is Camille O’Connell, played by Leah Pipes, and her life that is at stake in the latest game, notes the Christian Today.
Klaus will work his way and follow the clues Aurora that has provided for him because he believes that it shall lead him to get Camille or Cami back from his seemingly deranged former lover.
In the trailer of episode 8, Klaus was quoted as saying that Aurora has taken Cami as a leverage because he has her beloved brother, Tristan, played by Oliver Ackland. He adds that it is to be the last mistake that Aurora shall make as if to say that he will put his ex out of her miseries.
Meanwhile, Elijah, Freya, and Hayley, are looking to pry valuable information from Tristan, who was chained to a chair. The trailer also showed Hayley, on the instruction of Elijah, taking a bite out of Tristan’s neck. Tristan is not expected to die of the bite though as it has been shown that he is a werewolf.
Programming changes
After the airing of its mid-season finale on December 10, “The Originals” will have its winter break but shall return on January 29.
The surprise is that starting next year, “The Originals” will start airing on a Friday, together with its parent series “The Vampire Diaries” as part of the overall effort of The CW network to boost its Friday night programming that shall also have “Arrow” and “The Flash.”
Those popular TV series would sure to shore up The CW’s Friday night’s ratings in a way that has never been seen from any network for a while, reports Cartermatt.
In place of the “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries” on its Thursday night time slots are DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” and “The 100.”
The network shall also be unveiling late in January next year the new season of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “iZombie” to fill up some holes in their schedule.
Suspense keeps building up
The suspense in Season 3 of “The Originals” keep building up beginning with its Halloween episode that aired on The CW on October 28.
Titled “A Walk on the Wild Side,” the fourth episode of the very popular and widely-followed TV series saw Elijah Mikaelson, played by Daniel Gillies, and Hayley Marshall-Kenner, played by Phoebe Tonkin, walking straight into harm’s way as they got themselves into the middle of an initiation dance by an ancient and mysterious order of vampire called The Strix.
Elijah actually wanted then to uncover the secrets that surround Tristan and what he is up to in New Orleans. So he tugs Hayley along with him as they crashed what seems to be initially as a masquerade gala.
As they got themselves immersed into the party, which they also described as the most dangerous and influential congregation of vampires the world has ever known, it did not take long for Elijah to realize that the event was not really a party after all.
He told Hayley that it was an initiation dance as they both prepare for the dangers that await them in the event. They would also learn later on that Marcel Gerard, played by Charles Michael Davis, was also in the party and that the attention of The Strix was not on them but on Marcel.
Marcel was approached with an enticing offer made by a mysterious woman named Aya, played by guest star Tracy Ifeachor, to attend the gala as her honored guest.
