The thrills and suspense in Season 3 of the American supernatural drama TV series “The Originals” keep building up during its Halloween episode aired on The CW on October 28.
Titled “A Walk on the Wild Side,” the fourth episode of the very popular and widely-followed TV series saw Elijah Mikaelson, played by Daniel Gillies, and Hayley Marshall-Kenner, played by Phoebe Tonkin, walking straight into harm’s way as they got themselves into the middle of an initiation dance by an ancient and mysterious order of vampires called The Strix.
Elijah actually wanted to uncover the secrets that surround Tristan, played by Oliver Ackland, and what he is up to in New Orleans. So he took Hayley with him in crashing what seems to be a masquerade gala initially, notes the Latin Post.
As they got themselves immersed into the party, which they also described as the most dangerous and influential congregation of vampires the world has ever known, it did not take long for Elijah to realize that the event was not really a party after all.
He told Hayley that it was an initiation dance as they both prepare for the dangers that await them in the event. They would also learn later on that Marcel Gerard, played by Charles Michael Davis, was also in the same party and that the attention of The Strix is not on them but on Marcel.
Hitting it off well
At that party, Marcel was approached with an enticing offer by a mysterious woman named Aya, played by guest star Tracy Ifeachor, to become her honored guest.
Actor Charles Michael Davis describes the pair to have hit it off really well from the start because of good chemistry. However, he also said that both Marcel and Aya can actually have chemistry with a balloon because both of them are pretty charismatic people, notes the Christian Post.
Marcel will also realize later on that things are not always what they seem to be. The mystery and intrigue of the event had him piquing his curiosity. It turns out eventually that Aya wanted to immerse and initiate Marcel into The Strix and that’s where all the thrills and suspense further build up.
More about their sired lines
The fourth episode of “The Originals” also saw Elijah and Klaus Mikaelson, played by Joseph Morgan, working to find out more about their sired line of vampires.
They formed a tentative alliance when a vital component of the plan of Lucien, played by guest star Andrew Lees, goes missing.
It was another edge-of-your-seat episode that had fans of the TV series glued to the small screen for an hour and craving for more after.
There will be more things in store for the fans in the ongoing Season 3 of “The Originals.” Aside from more appearances from actress Claire Holt, there will be a lot of subplots to watch out for which will unravel in the subsequent episodes of the TV series.
Holt was momentarily out during some stretches of Season 2, but she is now back in Season 3 beginning with some form of flashbacks during the premiere as well as during present day along with her brothers Elijah and Klaus.
Meanwhile, Klaus will continue to nurture his love for his therapist Cami after telling her what he feels during the Season 2 finale.
Cami, on the other hand, is trying to contain her feelings for Klaus because she wants to be a good psychologist. But it will be a tough task for her as her only client at this time is Klaus and it would be interesting to see if they can keep their relationship on a strictly professional basis or they will finally give their mutual feelings a chance.
