Nintendo’s fantasy video game “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD” will launch exclusively for the Wii U console on March 4.
The game is the latest installment to the famed video game franchise following last year’s “The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes,” but is a direct sequel of “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” which was released back in November 2005.
At the time of its release, “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess” was considered the greatest entry in the series, mainly for its relatively mature content compared to previous installments. Hence, the excitement of players in its HD version.
Players will be able to use the Wii U GamePad controller to easily access their map and inventory at all times using the touch screen. They can also immediately transform into a wolf with one easy tap.
Gamers can also use the GamePad to access Miiverse. Miiverse posts can be decorated with new stamps inspired by the video game hidden away throughout Hyrule. Also, “The Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD” can also be played off-TV on the GamePad.
Ardent gamers are excited as the game will feature better graphics and will also add more features.
Nintendo has already teased fans and uploaded a video showing the first 24 minutes of the Japanese video game.
Coming Soon reports that a new item in the game called “Ghost Lantern” has been added. This mysterious item will glow when in the same area as a Poe, making the Poe’s soul-retrieving quest easier to complete.
Design & Trend reports that there will also be some in-game adjustments meant to make things easier for players. One of which is the amount of Tears of Light that need to be collected has been reduced from 16 to 12.
The latest installment to the “The Legend of Zelda” franchise will also feature a new gameplay mode. Hero Mode, a challenging mode can be selected when starting a new game.
In this mode, Link will take double the normal damage and there are no heart drops. The game will also be mirrored, meaning the world and dungeons will be in reverse.
This means that if Link finds Rupees in a treasure chest while his wallet is already full, Rupees will no longer be returned to that chest.
In this mode, gamers are less likely to reach the limit of their wallets, as they have been modified to hold more Rupees.
Also, tapping the Gandorf amiibo on the GamePad while in Hero Mode will cause Link to take four times the damage.
A new dungeon will also come with “The Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD” called ‘The Twilight Cave.’ Nintendo has earlier announced that all physical versions of the game will include an elaborate Wolf link amiibo figure.
Purchasing the Wolf link amiibo along with the limited edition bundle of the game will be the only way to get the mentioned amiibo. It can also be sold separately.
The limited edition bundle will also come with an audio CD that contains the selection of songs from the game’s soundtrack.
The Wolf Link amiibo will allow players to gain access to the Cave of Shadows. Also, some of the data stored in the amiibo figure can also be used for other Legend of Zelda games on Wii U.
“The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD” for Wii U has been confirmed by Nintendo last year. The game has been listed in the Japanese game maker’s financial roundups for 2015.
Avid gamers will know that this isn’t the first time a 2016 window has been mentioned for the project. It was initially thought that it would be released by 2014 or late last year in time for the holidays.
However, Nintendo has already released a statement that enough progress for the game has been made through the years and the developers feel confident about hitting the new target for the game.
