Nintendo’s “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U was announced as early as June of last year during the E3 2014. Back then, the consensus among gamers was that the Japanese gaming company would roll out the game on the Wii U this year.
Unfortunately, more than one year after the game was officially announced, “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U has yet to be released and it is unlikely to happen now.
There have been speculations that Nintendo might be releasing the game next year, but those rumors were doused with cold water when the 2015 second quarter financial report of Nintendo was released early in October and indicated a TBA on the release date of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U instead of a more specific 2016.
During the E3 2015, Nintendo announced and showed a gameplay trailer of “The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes” on 3DS quashing yet again the hopes of Wii U gamers to finally get their hands on “The Legend of Zelda” on their gaming console.
If there is one thing that they can be sure about, “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U will eventually be released, but since Nintendo has yet to make a statement or announcement about an exact release date, the gamers’ anxious moments continue.
