‘The Legend of Zelda’ on Wii U is Part of the 2016 Video Game Roster, Confirms Nintendo Designer!

Sometime last month, there were reports that came out saying that the action-adventure video game “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U is unlikely to be released this year because a new game called “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD” will be released instead on the Nintendo gaming console.

It was widely speculated that the earliest that “The Legend of Zelda” could come out on Wii U is in 2017.

However, it seems that there is a new development that was recently revealed by Nintendo officials who hinted that “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U will actually come out this year.

Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed in a recent interview that “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U is part of the 2016 roster, despite not being showcased in last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

Subsequently, Nintendo President Reggie Fils-Aime reiterated the statement made by Miyamoto that the game will indeed come out this year.

It is almost sure that those pronouncements have excited widely-anticipating fans of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U which is in direct contrast to what they were feeling when reports last month said that the game has been put on the backburner, notes the Christian Today.

Ambitious game content

It was widely rumored that the delay in the release date of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U is because of its ambitious content that Nintendo wants the game to have.

However, despite the delay, it is still obvious that fans are hanging on patiently. Their excitement also got another boost when latest reports indicate that the game will come out this year.

But until an exact release date has been announced, everything regarding “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U should be taken with a fine grain of salt.

The entire “The Legend of Zelda” franchise has been such a big part of many gamers’ lives so its Wii U version would certainly make a lot of Nintendo fans very happy.

Link is in mute mode

Link, the protagonist of “The Legend of Zelda” game, has been on mute mode on the Wii U version and it is likely to stay that way for some more time.

Series producer Eiji Aonuma explained in a recent interview that they have been receiving a lot of requests from fans to hear Link’s voice. He said that that air of proud independence is a precious part of the character’s individuality.

Aonuma said that he wanted to think long and hard about whether giving Link a voice or not before he makes the decision.

Although it was not Aonuma who disclosed a heads up on the game, reports have it that “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U is now in development where Link will still not be talking.

Link has spoken in the past but not in the mainline series. The animated TV series was the first time that Link had a voice and the second time was during the Philips CD-I video game.

Incidentally, this year marks the 30th anniversary of the action-adventure video game “The Legend of Zelda” so it is just fitting that the game would finally have a Wii U version this year.

While Nintendo has yet to announce the exact date for the release of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U, what is clear is that it would finally happen this year following the decision of the Japanese gaming company to push it back from its initial scheduled rollout last year.

Reports have it that “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U will be the first game in the series to be made with HD graphics apparently because of the excellent hardware features of the gaming console. It shall also encompass the biggest map ever seen in the games, moving the dungeon explorer closer towards being fully realized as a true open world game.
