The action-adventure video game “The Legend of Zelda” on the Wii U gaming console has long been promised by Nintendo and latest reports have it that it will finally come out next year.
However, critics believe that Nintendo has already committed a major blunder in continuously pushing the release date of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U since three years ago.
Accordingly, the Japanese game development company has already broken gamers’ trust with its constant delays on the release date of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U. The game has had three different release dates in the past three years that it already became insulting for the gamers, reports Design & Trend.
In fact, many of the gamers no longer believe the pronouncements of Nintendo with regards to “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U.
The game on the gamepad shall also suffer immeasurably once Nintendo releases its latest generation gaming console, the NX platform, which according to reports, would actually signal the phasing out of the Wii U.
A tortured development
In addition, the development of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U is already suspect because of its constant delays in the past. As it is a single delay for a game is expected but once it happens three times in three years, it means that something is terribly wrong with the timeline and the development.
The delays create the assumption that development has been tortured from the start because it makes analysts wonder what kind of fundamental issues that the Japanese game development company is experiencing.
It is almost sure that Nintendo is feeling the immense pressure to deliver with each passing day and when these high expectations are spread across such a long span of time, the tremendous pressure from the negativity is almost unbearable.
Because of what happened to “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U, even the most blinded Nintendo gamers are going to be watching every bit of such experience with a critical eye because a lie perpetrated for so long can only be sustained for some time. And the only way that Nintendo can redeem itself on this particular debacle is to come up with “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U that goes beyond expectations.
Foregoing the conventional presentation
Incidentally, there are reports saying that “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016.
Reports have it that Nintendo will forego the conventional presentation format and focus on live streaming the new “The Legend of Zelda” game. There shall also be no other trailers or demonstrations that will be released as the entire conference slot is exclusively for the new title, reports News Everyday.
Game producer Eiji Aonuma says that the new “The Legend of Zelda” game would be a clean break from the conventional presentation of previous games.
Scott Moffitt, executive vice president for sales and marketing of Nintendo of America, confirmed that Nintendo shall be treating people to its immersive “The Legend of Zelda” experience at the E3 with a remarkable game. He assured gamers that they shall be able to get a much deeper understanding of something new for the franchise.
The development of “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U is on its finishing phase according to Eiji Aonuma. But the bigger news is that when it finally comes out on Wii U, it will be the first in “The Legend of Zelda” game series to feature HD graphics.
Fans and gamers have been waiting for “The Legend of Zelda” on Wii U since game developer Nintendo announced it during the E3 2013. The following year at the E3 2014, the Japanese game developer stated that the game will be released on the Wii U in 2015.
