It has been reported that Japanese gaming company Nintendo may officially launch the open world action-adventure video game “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” on the Wii U and its latest gaming platform, the Switch, in March next year.
It was also reported that the Nintendo Switch would be launch weeks before the official roll out of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” or it is also possible that Nintendo would launch its latest gaming platform along with the unveiling of the game.
As a new gaming platform, it is expected that the Nintendo Switch would come with a price and as a way of giving an opportunity to gamers who may be a little tight on the budget, the upcoming game got a pre-order price cut on the Wii U on Amazon recently.
The pre-order final price of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” on the Wii U offered through Amazon is now pegged at $50.99, which is a 15% slash from its original price.
The offer will be even better for those who are members of Amazon Prime as the final pre-order price of the game will be slashed further by 5% and end up at $47.99.
While Nintendo has yet to announce the official release date of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,” the Amazon pre-order page has listed the game’s release date as March 31, 2017.
But critics are saying that it could just be a placeholder date, which happens to be the end of Nintendo’s 2016-17 fiscal year.
Reports also have it that Nintendo may likely announce the official release date of “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” for the Switch and the Wii U next month.
‘The Legend of Zelda’ music album
Another upcoming development would surely augur well for “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.” Reports have it that Japanese company Nippon Columbia will be producing an album about the game featuring “The Legend of Zelda” special orchestrated concert tour held across Japan in October.
The album is officially titled “The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary Concert” and it will release in Japan on February 15, 2017.
It shall reportedly come in two versions, one is a first-print limited edition version that includes a DVD that shows screenshots that were displayed on the big screen during the concert, tin badges, and a CD stand.
The second version which is called the standard version shall include the same two discs and music from the first-print version, details Siliconera.
A hint of the game’s story
Nintendo already showed off “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” in detail during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 trade show in Los Angeles in June.
But since the E3 2016, Nintendo has not said much about the new “The Legend of Zelda” game beyond demonstrating it working with the Switch, which used to be known as the NX.
Reports have claimed that “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” may launch in March next year alongside the Switch. However, conflicting claims have suggested the game won’t be a Switch launch title, but a new “Mario” game could be.
Nintendo has announced that “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” shall be coming to the Wii U and its latest gaming platform called the Switch sometime next year but it did not specify an exact release date.
Interestingly, there have been details about the Old Man that could provide a hint to “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild” story.
During the demo at the E3 2016 held in June where the Old Man was standing in one spot, there is a new build of the game which shows him sitting at a cooking location and chopping wood near the Woodman’s cabin.
