In the meantime, those fans that have been waiting a few years to see the return of The Last of Us are taking to the internet to voice opinions and read any news available. According to one online source, the new game will be called “Days Gone.”
There is some speculation that Ellie’s journey will also be continued, but nothing has been confirmed by Naughty Dog. While half of those that played the original game thought it came to an end very smoothly and tied up the story lines, the other half saw a little more potential in extending that story.
Other rumors include the possibility of a new lead in the game and that being Joel’s brother, Tommy. That might change things up a little bit for how the story ended, but at this point, fans will be happy to hear any confirmation a sequel will be released.
