Reports say that the spunky character will make a comeback to develop new superhero suits for the Incredibles. Mode’s return is quite certain for the film because interestingly, Bird is the voice behind the eccentric fashion designer.
Frozone, the Parr family’s good friend, is also rumored to be included in the sequel. Frozone has the ability to freeze water or even ambient moisture in the air.
Reports say that a backstory for the character is in the works to be incorporated in the film. This means that fans might get to know more about Lucius Best. Samuel L. Jackson voiced Frozone in the first film and the actor has expressed his willingness to bring the character to life again.
The sequel for “The Incredibles” was originally planned for a 2007 release. After the first film was well-received by the audience, talks of a sequel were being planned, but it never materialized.
It wasn’t until Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger announced last year that another “The Incredibles” movie is in the works, a decade after the first animated blockbuster.
The first poster of the film was presented during this year’s D23 Expo along with Bird being confirmed to be the upcoming film’s writer and director.
More details about the film are expected to come out in the next few months, but for now, fans have to wait until June 21, 2019 to see the Parr family back in action again.
