The Incredibles 2 Director Brad Bird to Carry the Momentum of the Success of the First Film, Assures Producer, And More

Contrary to reports that “The Incredibles 2” shall only have a six-year time jump despite the fact that it will be shown some 15 years after the first movie hit the theaters back in 2004, Disney has not said anything about it at all.

Thus, it is likely that the sequel will pretty much settle with the 15-year gap between the two movies. This would mean that the characters from the first film will be much older, with Violet and Dash as young adults and Jack-Jack as a teenager.

The parents, Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl, may have either retired by then or will at least be taking the backseat in superhero work. Thus, it is possible that the three siblings will be the main superheroes in “The Incredibles 2.”

In a previous interview, Director Bird said that the most interesting thing he likes about “The Incredibles” is not the superhero part of it but the family dynamic and how do superhero things play into that. He confirmed that “The Incredibles 2” will be a movie that shall head into that direction.

He also said that he does have a story idea that he thinks is very intriguing and not like anything else.

  1. Those ideas are considered fake, as the Syndrome/Jack-Jack story comes directly from the Idea Wiki, which can be made and edited by nearly everyone, that’s how these rumors started in the 1st place, plus Bird himself has yet to comment on anything since last year as he’s afraid of posting possible spoilers.

Bird won’t be pulling from fan-made ideas (as most Disney/Pixar producers tends to stick with what made their 1st installment great, which is how we got Monsters University and Finding Dory), I sense this sequel will focus on Elastigirl this time around, since she had the 2nd least development out of the entire family and her background was more or less unexplored.
