Third installments to any series are often the most bogus of the lot. This happens especially since the makers lose track of the original thoughts and ingenious plots that make the first installment stand out. However, the same cannot be said for The Hobbit 3. The Lord of the Ring Series was something of a phenomenon too and the makers of The Hobbit have repeated history with the third installment of the popular series, which released across global theatres not a long time ago.
The Hobbit 3 manages to remind us of all the little details that made LOTR one of the best selling and biggest franchises of all time. For all those of you who haven’t been to the theaters yet, there is a massive surprise waiting for you.
If you walk into the theater, hoping to catch 147 minutes of dwarves trying to decapitate the evil dragon, you are hugely mistaken, as the epic battle here is not the 15 minute long duel with Smaug – voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch – the evil dragon, but the war with oneself and the lessons are worth noting down!
Thorin Okenshield can finally reclaim his land after Smaug is killed and control the vast seas and the numerous treasures that it holds deep within its soul. However, the desire for gold corrupts Thorin, and it is similar to what we saw previously in LOTR for the ring – the precious!
Thorin doubts his fellow warriors and the other dwarves, even though their intentions are clear. His eyes resonate his thoughts and in his heart he has promised himself not to part with even a single gold coin, even if his loyalists are dying of hunger right in front of him. This is not the Thorin that we know of!
The Elves are heading up the mountain to claim their share of the gold, and so are the mortal men, who are equally entitled to the treasure. Thorin however does not budge, and this calls for a battle of epic proportions!
Do the Dwarves, Men and Elves unite to fight the evil Orcs or do they wage war among themselves? You will have to watch The Hobbit 3 to find out! Like every other installment in the series, the most challenging and exciting stunts are reserved solely for Orlando Bloom, better known as Legolas, and he fulfills his role perfectly for the sixth time straight. In fact, we have no qualms about watching him for six more installments.
