“Story of a Girl” is a powerful coming-of-age story about a teen who must deal with the ramifications of a sex video that goes viral. When a sex video of a 13-year-old Deanna Lambert and Tommy, her older brother’s best friend, hits the internet, her life of carefree innocence is changed forever, details Deadline.
After three years, Deanna continues to deal with the impact of the video, including being branded in the school a slut and bearing the burden of the daily taunts, from her classmates.
At home, her life is even more difficult as his father’s anger and disappointment over the incident has left him unable to look into his daughter’s eye. Deanna has since been longing to escape a life defined by the mistakes of her past.
Kyra Sedgwick was chosen to direct the film as part of Lifetime’s Broad Focus initiative to provide women with more opportunities to write, direct, and produce content for the network.
It is still not clear if “Story of a Girl” will be the only small screen stint of Kevin Bacon next year but most of his fans believe that he will have another TV assignment sooner than later.
He is also expected to be taken on several more film assignments next year because he is Kevin Bacon. And if he is not acting, he can always work on his music with his brother Michael to do gigs everywhere as the Bacon Brothers.
