So much was happening in the first three seasons that it seemed that FOX was rushing around trying to finish the show up before it could be cancelled. Sometimes shows that are cancelled end in the right way, but other times it will leave a sour, empty spot in the minds of viewers.
That could have been possible at the end of season three, but there is always hope for The Following Season 4. As fans from all over the country hope for the best, FOX and even Kevin Bacon have moved on. Kevin Bacon is looking at a new role in the brand new Tremors movie.
As for the other actors that took place in the show, they were young enough to get other roles in television shows in various parts. That is a good thing that The Following did not ruin the acting careers of anyone involved.
