The Scarlet Speedster then found out about the city just as Grodd was trying to take over the entire world. It could be the same plotline that “The Flash” shall feature in a two-part episode in Season 3 or it could be a different one as well.
In fact, in the TV series, Grodd was just being used as a test subject by General Wade Eiling’s scientists in their military experiments so it would be interesting how the mutated ape would turn out to be in Season 3 of “The Flash” when it finally airs on October 4 on The CW.
Grodd will be stomping his wares in Gorilla City hidden in the jungles of Africa and features an entire race of super-intelligent gorillas.
Kreisberg said that they have been trying to play the long game with the Grodd story on “The Flash” planting seeds and building the mythology each season.
He also explained that he would liken Gorilla City to Ra’s al Ghul in “Arrow.” He said that it’s a long-term thing and confirmed that they are doing a two-part episode that takes place in Gorilla City.
The Flashpoint storyline might be the most important story in “The Flash” Season 3 but Grodd could really be the most entertaining plotline.
