‘The Flash’ Season 3 Latest Trailer Shows Barry Allen Confused in Flashpoint; Footage Gives a Glimpse of Dr. Alchemy and Kid Flash

Meanwhile, director Kevin Smith will return for the upcoming season. Gustin has been very vocal that he wants Smith to direct at least three episodes in Season 3.

While this has not been confirmed, Smith will return to direct one episode for sure. The director himself has confirmed that he’s set to direct the seventh episode of Season 3.

It was also announced during last month’s Television Critics Association summer press tour that Smith also landed a directorial gig for an episode of “Supergirl” Season 2 also on The CW.

In a recent Instagram post, Smith wrote that episode 7 contains a lot of first moments and a heroic sparring spectacle.

While Smith has not been more specific about these first moments nor who will be battling against each other, he assures fans that the episode will contain a lot of action sequences and fights compared to the first ‘The Flash’ episode he directed.

The 46-year-old filmmaker returning to the director chair for The CW series is no big surprise. Last May, Comicbook reported that everyone on the production had a really great time working on his episode, entitled ‘The Runaway Dinosaur.’

Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco, says that Smith was so giving and trusting as a director and gave everyone the freedom to tell how their characters would tell the story.
