Possible budget limitations
Critics believe that it would be a question of budget limitations as it would be very costly to produce a TV series with the Flashpoint comic book storyline. The idea of bringing Batman, Aquaman, and Wonder Woman in the TV series would entail a significant amount of resources so if the producers are capable of exchanging the production cost with superb ratings, they could surely go for it.
Incidentally, The CW has already announced the premiere date of “The Flash” Season 3 and it is going to happen on October 4 to be followed by the new romantic comedy series on the network called “No Tomorrow,” reports the Collider.
Meanwhile, with the recent wrap-up of Season 2 of “The Flash” where the Scarlet Speedster put away Zoom for good, reports are swirling that actor Tom Cavanagh will once again be back in Season 3 no longer as Harry Wells, but actually Zoom from another Earth.
The actor recently posted an image of Zoom on his Instagram account and captioning the photo with ‘looking for work’ and also included hashtags for The Flash and Zoom.
Tom Cavanagh is one of the key characters of the “The Flash.” In Season 1, he was Eobard Thawne disguised as Dr. Harrison Wells. He was the alter ego of the Reverse-Flash, whom The Flash put away for good towards the Season 1 finale.
But Tom Cavanagh, who played the disguising villain character in Season 1, was such a good actor and very convincing anti-hero that in Season 2 of “The Flash,” he showed up as Harry Wells from Earth-2.
