In a recent interview, Sears did not say whether The Flash will get his speed back and take down Zoom but he hinted that the final battle between the two will be mano-a-mano, which could be an allusion that Zoom may also lose his power and it would turn out to be a fistfight.
Sears also said last month that they have not shot the final showdown yet but based on the script, it is going to be epic in the truest sense of the word. He also added that it is guaranteed to be fun and very satisfying for the viewers.
However, those previous speculations about a fistfight may no longer be feasible since Barry has regained his speed back in the Speed Force during episode 21 so it will be a speed fight with Zoom possibly.
Incidentally, Sears also shared that Hunter Zolomon will have trouble dealing with his feelings for Caitlin Snow. Hunter apparently developed real feelings for Caitlin Snow the whole time that they have been together from the time that he was still Jay Garrick. And it wasn’t part of his plan to fall for Caitlin, so it puts a bit of an emotional baggage on the main villain of “The Flash.”
