There are three TV series now on The CW based on DC Comics including “Arrow,” “The Flash,” and “Legends of Tomorrow.” There are still two other TV series in other networks – “Supergirl” on CBS which is currently in its premiere season, and the Batman prequel “Gotham” on Fox now on its Season 2.
Crossover of “Arrow” and “The Flash” has become a regular feature of both series given that they are on the same network.
But it seems that crossover among DC TV franchises will already break network barriers as the Flash will make his appearance in “Supergirl” episode titled “World’s Finest.” No less than actor Grant Gustin confirmed his guesting on the CBS series and that it shall happen when the Scarlet Speedster accidentally jumps through a portal into Supergirl’s world, details Screen Rant.
Apparently, the crossover will establish a unique precedent especially when the “Supergirl” episode featuring The Flash eventually and expectedly generate high ratings.
Reports have it that producers Warner Bros TV are now negotiating with Fox for the possible appearance of The Flash on “Gotham” Season 2. It seems that the deal has already been finalized as Gustin shall reportedly make a guest appearance in episode 21 of “Gotham” Season 2.
Greg Berlanti, executive producer of “The Flash,” said that they are so excited to be working with Fox and the “Gotham” creative team on the episode of the Batman prequel, citing that the villains of Gotham City won’t know what hit them when The Flash speeds into town.
