While viewers were thinking that Harrison Wells was the big bad, he is not the real Harrison Wells because the person was already dead. The villain was Eobard Thawne in Harrison Wells’ body.
After episode 15 of Season 2 of “The Flash” was aired, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg discussed the Zoom reveal and confirmed that Hunter Zolomon was Zoom. However, he did not clarify Jay Garrick’s fate.
Astute viewers of “The Flash” also do not go with the notion that Jay Garrick died when Zoom stuck his hand through his chest. They believe that it is a clone of Hunter Zolomon that died, one who was gathering intel on The Flash.
And that is the reason why his cells were dying because as a replica, he was not meant to last long. It is also the real reason why he could not run fast without Velocity is because he was never a speedster in the first place.
Prior to episode 15, speculations have been really rife about the true identity of Zoom. In fact, many consider it as the high point of Season 2 of “The Flash.”
According to previous speculations, the speed demon’s identity could be anybody from Jay Garrick, or perhaps even Henry Allen.
