‘The Flash’ Season 2 Episode 16 to See Barry Allen Going Up Against a Female Speedster Named Trajectory!

Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, has dealt with various speedsters before in the American superhero drama TV series “The Flash” on The CW. There was the Reverse-Flash in Season 1 and the big bad in the current second season, Zoom, whose identity may have been hinted during the final moments of episode 15.

In the upcoming 16th episode of “The Flash” due to air on The CW on March 22, The Flash and his team at STAR Labs will deal with a female speedster for the first time.

Because the female speedster dresses like The Flash, she seems to be doing some purse snatching and staking the reputation of The Flash in the process.

The female speedster is known as Trajectory and based on DC Comics, she is actually a creation of Lex Luthor.

Team Flash got to learn of the presence of Trajectory during a night out on the town where the female speedster stole everyone’s wallets. Apparently, she is a thief and gives the impression that it was The Flash who is doing the snatching and not her.

Barry decided to run after her because he does not want people to think that The Flash is a petty thief. During their first encounter, Trajectory even managed to punch Barry in the face, which is why in the promo, Caitlin was seen tending to Barry’s wounds.

An exceptionally bright scientist

Eliza Harmon is the alter-ego of Trajectory and she is played in the episode by Allison Paige. Harmon’s character is described as an exceptionally bright scientist with a split personality like Dr. Jekyll and Hyde, reports the International Business Times of UK.

True to Barry’s assessment, the arrival of Trajectory in Central City will create a lot of chaos and people will indeed mistake her for the Scarlet Speedster.

Barry and the team at STAR Labs have to quickly figure out a way to bring her down before she completely destroys The Flash’ reputation in the city.

A light and funny moment during the promo trailer of the next episode of “The Flash” also featured a curious Cisco, played by Carlos Valdez, who asked Barry if Trajectory was good looking. Barry replied that next time she punches him in the face, he will be sure to get his number.

The identity of Zoom

After the episode 15 of Season 2 of “The Flash” was aired on February 23, there have been speculations and fan theories stating that Jay Garrick as the Earth-2 Flash, played by Teddy Sears, may be the big bad Zoom.

The theories started building up when Jay Garrick walked towards an open portal towards the end of episode 15 and he was grabbed by Zoom, who then revealed himself to have the face of Jay Garrick.

However, critics believe that it is a misdirect.

Melty thinks that the man in the iron mask is the real Jay Garrick. It also posits that the man whom viewers come to know as the Earth-2 Flash is only Garrick in name. The real Jay Garrick has a completely different face but because viewers have not seen The Flash in action in Earth-2, Jay Garrick’s lies were simply accepted as the truth because there is no one to contradict them in the first place.

the flash

The only person who can verify Jay Garrick as the Earth-2 Flash is Harrison Wells and Harry did confirm during the first few episodes of Season 2 that Garrick is The Flash.

However, Harry only met with the Earth-2 Flash after the Zoom turned up, so the real Flash could easily have been kidnapped and replaced without anyone noticing.

It has become the strategy of the show to always give a misdirect as to the real identity of the villain. It has done so during Season 1 with Eobard Thawne who took on the identity of Dr. Harrison Wells, who was the Reverse-Flash.
