The 10th episode of “The Flash” was titled “Potential Energy.” The midseason premiere of “The Flash,” showed Patty Spivot, played by Shantel VanSanten, being in some very real danger. She was captured by Zoom and the situation has put Barry Allen into some serious problem considering his feelings for her.
Barry’s problem will become more complicated in the next episode with the return of the Reverse-Flash so he will have to defer rescuing Patty from the hands of Zoom.
According to executive producer Todd Helbing, the mysterious return of the Reverse-Flash to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in an unexpected danger and will force Barry to make a life-changing decision.
Because of the presence of two powerful villains, fans should expect a more action-packed second half of Season 2 of “The Flash.”
Another dilemma that Barry Allen has to deal with is whether or not he is ready to tell Patty that he is The Flash.
While the TV series has been consistent with the storylines in the comic books, there are occasional deviations too. Barry Allen has not revealed his identity to any person outside of the S.T.A.R. Labs team, Detective Joe West, and members of Team Arrow from its mother series “Arrow” also on The CW so it is unlikely that he will bare his secret to Patty.
