‘The Flash’ and ‘Supergirl’ to Meet Paths Through a Potential Crossover Episode? Find Out

It looks like Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El’s meeting is in the works. Reports have been saying that the second season of “The Flash” will have a crossover episode with the fresh TV series “Supergirl.”

As per Realty Today, there is a large possibility that the hit The CW series could have a crossover episode with the CBS show.

Both superhero series have Greg Berlanti as the creator so the possibility of Supergirl, played by Mellisa Benoist, and The Flash, played by Grant Gustin, teaming up to beat a certain villain is huge.

Furthermore, Bleeding Cool has reported that fans of both series should expect the National City’s heroine to drop by Star labs by May’s sweeps week, that is, if CBS orders the last episodes of the show.

The report added that the crossover will be done in an attempt to boost the ratings of the CBS pilot series.

Rumors of a possible crossover with both shows have started when “Supergirl” co-executive producer Ali Adler, stated during the New York ComicCon that Kara Zor-El might share a universe with Barry Allen and eventually Oliver Queen.

Over the months, the talks have died down, but news about the possible crossover were lighted up once again in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Speaking to TV Line, Berlanti said that merging two DC universe would require huge work and a lot of time.

According to Screen Rant, fans have mixed reactions about the potential crossover. Some fans commented that it’s possible that Barry might have feelings for Kara.

There are also fans who think that it’s a huge mistake for a crossover to happen. Fans say that “Supergirl” needs to be developed first before partnering with other shows.

Neither The CW nor CBS has confirmed anything yet about this, but fans are already speculating what the possible storyline will be and how the two will fit in one picture.

While a crossover episode of “The Flash” and “Supergirl” is nothing but hearsay at this point, fans will be excited to know that Barry will once again team up with Oliver Queen, played by Stephen Amell.

The eighth episode of the series will once again see Team Arrow and Team Flash in a much-awaited reunion.

Titled “Legends of Today,” the epic crossover will start with “The Flash” wherein Barry will ask Queen’s help to bring down the time-travelling villain, Vandal Savage, played by Casper Crump.

According to the episode’s synopsis, Allen will be dropping by Star City to ask Oliver a favor in taking care of Kendra Saunders a.k.a. Hawkgirl, played by Ciara Renee, as she is Savage’s target.

More problems arise as Carter Hall a.k.a. Hawkman, played by Falk Hentschel, flies to Star City and takes Kendra away.

This means that Oliver and Barry must work together to get Kendra from Hawkman and fight Vandal at the same time.

In the promo video, it looks like Hawkman is setting the record straight as to why she took Kendra. He also does the honors of informing The Flash and Green Arrow about the identity of the new baddie in town.

Savage is an immortal villain who spends his endless time hunting down Hawkman and Hawkgirl, International Business Times reports.

The pair apparently is reincarnated each time Savage kills them. Hall says that he and Kendra can actually cheat death this time as they stand a shot against the villain, but Oliver and Barry do not quite agree.

The second part of the epic crossover will happen with the latest episode of “Arrow.” Titled “Legends of Yesterday,” the events of the episode will immediately follow after events from “The Flash” episode.

This will be the second time for both superheroes to work together to stop a villain threatening Central City. The first one was during the eighth episode of “The Flash” in Season 1, where Allen and Queen dealt with the metahuman Roy Bivolo.
