The second trailer of Power Rangers, which is out recently might even convert the toughest of skeptics. It’s hard not to give in and start loving it with its allure of major characters, a butt load of action and ton of fun; this is a trailer tailor made to win over the masses.
In the new footage, Bryan Cranston’s character gets a huge unveiling. With this new modern take on the character, it should leave both old and new fans smiling and curious, with its high-end sci-fi rendition.
Instead of the bizarre ghost head in a tube, as we are used to seeing Zordon, on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series and the movie. This Zordon is sporting an adaptive streak, which resembles those little desktop pin boxes where one might leave an impression of their hand in.
From what it appears from the glimpses offered in the trailer, it seems that Zordon will be able to move about his giant face, in the main chamber of the spaceship which was found by Jason, Kimberly, Trini, Billy and Zack, buried underground.
When the Rangers meet Zordon i.e. before they are aware that they are Rangers, Zordon told them in a tranquil voice that the answer to what was happening to them was there and that they are the five Power Rangers. Obviously, they are in a bit of a shock and retorts whether this was a joke or not. As they were talking to a wall.
To which we hear Zordon reply that The Power Rangers are a legion of warriors and that they too must become warriors. Zordon even cautions the new Power Rangers about Rita Repulsa that she is pure evil.
He further told them that it was their time and their destiny to be Power Rangers.
Saban’s Power Rangers trails around five regular high school kids who are destined to become something extraordinary when they come to know that their small town of Angel Grove; and the world is on the verge of being annihilated by an alien threat.
Chosen by fate, our heroes quickly discover that they are the only ones who can save the Earth. But then again to do so, they will have to outgrow their issues in real life and group together like the Power Rangers before it is too late.
Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston as Zordon, Elizabeth Banks as Rita Repulsa, Naomi Scott as Kimberly aka the Pink Ranger, David Denman in the role of Sam Scott, Becky G. plays Trini or the Yellow Ranger.
While Sarah Grey will be seen playing Amanda on screen, RJ Cyler will star as Billy Cranston aka the Blue Ranger, Emily Maddison will be seen playing Rebecca, Ludi Lin as Zack Taylor or the Black Ranger) and last but not the least, also part of the main ensemble is Dacre Montgomery as Jason Lee Scott or the Red Ranger.
Power Rangers is set to crash land in theaters on March 24, 2017.
