Of course, with the exception of “The Expendables 3”, which could have admittedly been produced better, but even then the franchise is still holding up quite strongly and doesn’t look like it’s about to go down anytime soon.
That’s evident by the large number of fans that the films still have, and the many people who are patiently waiting for any information to be released about “The Expendables 4”, constantly speculating about the film online and arguing about what could be changed in the franchise in order to bring it back to its former glory.
The shortcomings of the last film could also be attributed to bad timing (and with that, poor luck), as it didn’t come out at the most appropriate moment and there was too much interest towards other things on the market at that time.
Or at least that’s what some of the more dedicated fans of the franchise are saying. But in the end, if “The Expendables 3” had the potential to make it big, it should have reached that point regardless of how many other films there were on the scene at the time. After all, it was the newest entry in one of the most popular franchises in the industry and lots of people were paying attention to it.
