‘The Expendables 4’ Promises to Have Some Great Attitude, Reveals Sylvester Stallone!

Finally, after months of radio silence on the fourth movie of the action ensemble franchise, “The Expendables,” Sylvester Stallone has spoken or posted on social media.

In a recent post on his Facebook blog, Stallone said that they will start filming “The Expendables 4” soon and he and the crew are already preparing to shoot.

There were reports last year claiming that filming for “The Expendables 4” will take place in China in the fall of 2016 but with the recent revelation of the “Creed” actor, it seems that the initially scheduled shoot did not take place and that it will happen instead in the next month or a few weeks from now.

It can be recalled that “The Expendables 4” was previously reported to have a release date on global theaters this year but last month, it has been reported that it will hit cinemas instead in 2018.

“The Expendables 4” will be deviating from the two-year gap between sequels after it did not come out in 2016. It was subsequently reported that it will be moved to a 2017 showing before the latest reports confirmed that it will finally come out in 2018.

Going to have a great attitude

As far as the plotline for “The Expendables 4” is concerned, Stallone did not say much in his social media post but he did state that they got great ideas because every fan is expecting that they deliver something different.

He said that they are going to give it to fans and that the actors and the crew are going to do their best to ensure that it would happen.

Stallone also added that they have got some really great attitude going for “The Expendables 4,” reports Comingsoon.net.

The veteran Hollywood action star did not respond to rumors claiming that “The Expendables 4” is going to be the final film of the multi-million film franchise, notes Digital Spy.

Distancing himself from the female version

Stallone also refused to talk about the rumored “The Expendabelles” movie which is going to be an all-female spinoff of the successful action film franchise.

There have been rumors that “The Expendabelles” shall star Cameron Diaz, Milla Jovovich, and other A-list actresses but up until this time no confirmation has been made yet on the movie and its supposed casting.

It has been three years already since “The Expendables 3” was released to theaters, the movie which has earned the least because a copy of the film came out on the internet before it hit the theaters.

“The Expendables” franchise features Sylvester Stallone as mercenary team leader Barney Ross, with kick-ass heavyweights like Jason Statham as Lee Christmas, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture and Arnold Schwarzenegger making up the core group. Other action stars who have made their way to the franchise include Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Harrison Ford, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Mel Gibson, Antonio Banderas, Wesley Snipes, Eric Roberts, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and many more.

There have been rumors since 2015 that the possible casting addition to the core group for “The Expendables 4” may include the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Jackie Chan, wrestler Hulk Hogan, Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao, John Cusack, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and a few more but no one among them has been confirmed as of yet.

It was last month when reports came out that “The Expendables 4” would have a 2018 playdate instead of 2017.

It began as an inadvertent hint by German film distributor, Splendid Film, when it posted on its website that it picked up the distribution rights to “The Expendables 4” across all German-speaking Europe for distribution in 2018.

Splendid Film happened to have distributed the first three “The Expendables” movies, which have earned a combined $30 million at the German box office.

It should be noted however that even though there is already a German distributor for “The Expendables 4,” Lionsgate will still distribute the fourth installment domestically like it did with the first three movies.
