We’re going to find out in a while in any case, as the film is scheduled for release in 2017. That gives fans plenty of time to talk about the latest rumors that have been going around about the film, and of course it also gives a lot of time for the producers to hype up the audience.
We expect that there will be a lot of talk about the plot of the film during 2016 once more details start coming out, and “The Expendables 4” might bring things back to the origins of the franchise, dealing away with some decisions that have made it less popular in the latest installments.
Among those is the level of violence in the film, which is reportedly going to shoot back up to high levels after the last film toned it down a little bit.
That decision was apparently inspired by a desire to make the film more appealing to a wider audience, but it ended up backfiring as it disappointed original fans of the franchise and it also drew negative attention from critics. Now, the new film is once again going to be bloody and gory, and hopefully that will work out in its favor as far as its reputation with fans goes.
