‘The Elder Scrolls 6’ to Get the Focus and Attention of Bethesda after November 10!

The highly-anticipated role-playing game “The Elder Scrolls 6” will be given its needed attention by its game developer Bethesda Softworks after November 10, when “Fallout 4” is officially released to the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and the PC.

Although Bethesda has not been saying it in the open, it is obvious that once it gets “Fallout 4” out of its plate on November 10, the developer will be able to focus on the development of “The Elder Scrolls 6,” notes the Vine Report.

Many gamers believe that “The Elder Scrolls 6” is long overdue considering that its very successful predecessor, “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” was released to the gaming consoles and the PC way back in 2011.

While there are already reports that another developer is already working on “Skyrim 2,” the sequel to “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim,” Bethesda appears not worried at all, insisting that it publishes games to quality and not to scale.

After the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 in June where Bethesda officially launched the gameplay trailer of “Fallout 4,” there have been reports that the developer will make E3 2016 all for “The Elder Scrolls 6,” which means that the game would likely be rolled out either late in 2016 or in early 2017.

Not in a hurry to release

But Bethesda vice president for press relations and marketing, Pete Hines, said in a recent interview that it is not their company’s practice to dish out multiple titles in a year the way other game studios do as part of their business strategy.

He said that they prefer instead to focus on one project at a time and make sure that it performs according to expectations upon hitting the market before working on another.

Based on the statement of Hines, it is clear that the development team will be able to focus their attention on the development of “The Elder Scrolls 6” once they discharge from their plate the work on the post-apocalyptic role-playing game “Fallout 4.”

Hines added that Bethesda is not the sort of publisher that focuses on what’s their 25 titles for 2015. He said that it’s rare to have franchises like the ones they have and to have people joking about when “Skyrim 2” is coming out.

According to the Bethesda exec, another game developer and publisher may work on releasing “Skyrim 2” within the next two years but they are not worried at all because they do believe that it would not be good enough to be appreciated by gamers and that they already know that the title is already a brand of Bethesda, which makes the connection more reliable, details Christian Today.

Pushing the release date further

When “The Elder Scrolls 6” became a no-show at the E3 2015 in June, fans and gamers were extremely disappointed.

But to be fair to Bethesda, it did made plenty or reveals with a lot of other video games in its stable during the event including “Fallout 4,” “Dishonored 2” “The Evil Within,” “Doom” and “Battlecry.”

It would have been foolhardy for the developer to launch two role-playing games in “Fallour 4” and “The Elder Scrolls 6” on the same event as one would surely steal the thunder of the other.

elder scrolls 6

However, immediately after the E3 2015, reports started coming out that Bethesda plans to make the next holding of the same event, the E3 2016, will all be for “The Elder Scrolls 6” since it is the only highly-anticipated high-profile video game title remaining on Bethesda’s roster that has yet to be released.

If it’s any consolation to fans and gamers of “The Elder Scrolls” video game franchise, Bethesda did release the online multiplayer version of the game, “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” less than a week before the E3 2015.

  1. I hope The elder scrolls 6 will not be “Skyrim 2”. There is still much of Tamriel left for a title game other than Skyrim and revisiting Skyrim would not be a good decision when they could visit one of the other provinces not previously done. After visiting Morrowind, Cyrodill, Skyrim, Solstheim in Morrowind and Skyrim, High Rock and Hammerfell in the last 5 games, there are still 4 more provinces to save the world from. Summerset isle, Elsewer, Black Marsh and Valenwood.

I would much rather see a new Elder Scrolls game in one of those provinces rather than revisit Skyrim. That would just be boring and I’m sure other people agree with me.
