After the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 in June where Bethesda officially launched the gameplay trailer of “Fallout 4,” there have been reports that the developer will make E3 2016 all for “The Elder Scrolls 6,” which means that the game would likely be rolled out either late in 2016 or in early 2017.
But Hines said that it is not their company’s practice to dish out multiple titles a year the way other game studios do as part of their business strategy.
He said that they prefer instead to focus on one project at a time and make sure that it performs according to expectations upon hitting the market before they start working on another.
Based on the statement of Hines, it is clear that the development team will be able to focus their attention on the development of “The Elder Scrolls 6” once they discharge from their plate the work on the post-apocalyptic role-playing game “Fallout 4.”
Hines added that Bethesda is not the sort of publisher that focuses on what’s their 25 titles for 2015. He said that it’s rare to have franchises like the ones they have and to have people joking about it asking when “Skyrim 2” will be coming out.
I am willing to wait as long as it takes. I want the next Elder Scrolls game to be more detailed and bigger than any of the previous games. I sincerely hope Bethesda does not turn Fallout and Elder Scrolls into what Call of Duty has become. They release one every year. One of the biggest reasons Elder Scrolls is so good is because it is a massive, in depth world for gamers to explore. If they released one every one or two years, the level of detail in the games will take a serious hit, which would be very unfortunate. I also hope that it is not a ‘Skyrim 2.’ I think that they need to move on to a different part of Tamriel. Skyrim had it’s turn.
