Instead of being pressured by reports that another developer is reportedly working on “Skyrim 2” as a separate installment to the highly successful role-playing game “The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim” released in 2011, game developer Bethesda Softworks is not worried at all by the looming threat.
Pete Hines, vice president of marketing of Bethesda, says that it’s rare to have franchises like the ones they have that is why some people have been joking about when ‘Skyrim 2’ is coming out.
He added that the reason why some people ask that is because that’s what they will be getting with another developer and publisher in charge. Hines said that the developer would be spitting out a “Skyrim 2” sometime in 2017 or 2018 most likely. He explained that Bethesda is not that sort of developer and publisher, citing that they don’t focus on what’s their 25 titles in 2015, details Christian Today.
The Bethesda exec that they normally focus on smaller projects and they choose to publish games based on quality and not based on scale. He says that they always want to come up with games that are really noteworthy. Without saying it directly, Hines is obviously insinuating that they want to make “The Elder Scrolls 6” worth the long wait because of its quality make and gameplay.
More affirmation for likely game title
Meanwhile, the Day Herald has reported that the likely game title for the sixth installment of the very popular “The Elder Scrolls” role-playing game franchise is going to be Argonia as opposed to Redguard, which has also been reported previously.
Accordingly, one of the provinces in Tamriel is named Argonia and it is presently believed to be the location of the upcoming game.
There were reports that the official title of “The Elder Scrolls 6” would be a toss-up between “Argonia” and “Redguard.”
While there have been previous reports that the official title of “The Elder Scrolls 6” will be “Argonia,” recent initiatives of the game developer to register and trademarked the name “Redguard” has added to the confusion among gamers.
Some are saying that it would be “Argonia” while others are quite positive that Bethesda would call the next game as “Redguard.”
Although “Argonia” has the clear head start over “Redguard” as the main title of the next “The Elder Scrolls” game, the reasoning behind the latter seems quite convincing.
Accordingly, Bethesda has already trademarked “Redguard” from way back in 2011 and that it is an active and continuously renewed trademark of “The Elder Scrolls” franchise. All the other game trademarks including “Arena,” “Daggerfall,” and “Battlespire” are already inactive.
“Redguard” is the only “The Elder Scrolls” trademark that is not yet dead or not being used in a released game. Bethesda did the same too for “Skyrim” before its release in 2011.
There has already been a game called “The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard” that was released by Bethesda back in 1998 so it is unlikely for the developer to use it again in its upcoming role-playing game.
According to Bethesda Softworks, the recently-released “The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited” was just a spin-off of the series and the highly-anticipated sixth installment will surprise fans and gamers big time.
No multiplayer option
Some of the gamers are complaining of the absence of the multiplayer option of “The Elder Scrolls 6.”
The lack of information regarding the multiplayer gameplay for “The Elder Scrolls 6” is actually driving some of the fans of the game crazy.
While Bethesda has not made any official statement to respond to player clamors, it is obvious that “The Elder Scrolls” franchise is already a remarkable success as a single-player third-person role-playing game so it does not have the pressure to make it good as well as a multiplayer game.
Gamers are also hoping that the combat systems and graphic perfection that were showcased in “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” will also be carried out unto “The Elder Scrolls 6.”
Meanwhile, there are speculations that the dragons that were featured in the previous installment of the franchise “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” will return to the upcoming game.
Nice read. The elders scroll Skyrim was not fleshed out by Bethesda as much as the rabid modding community. Quite a few bugs or unreleased character interactions were discovered and re-introduced, and along with that… fixes to the world at whole by the Skyrim Creation Pack Community.Players who fixed the code where it broke for the love of the game..
In the end, letting the users create content and provide fixes for broken content/issues makes Skyrim and Bethesda strong.
This game needs to hurry up and come out I’m tired of playing skyrim it’s starting to get burning
