NBC aired Constantine Season 1. However, it looks like the second season will be picked up by another network. The CW is the preferred system since Constantine Season 2 would increase its already rich lineup of DC Comics series.
Rumors suggest that Constantine Season 2 will bring in new cast members. The original cast members of the premiere season have all gone their separate ways, and it will be difficult to get them back for the second season. Given Matt Ryan’s popularity, he will be the only actor from the original cast who will start in the upcoming season.
According to recent rumors, Constantine Season 2 will take over the slot left open by Vampire’s Diaries after it completes Season 8. Vampire’s Diaries Season 8 is the final season of the series and is slated to begin this month.
Given that Vampire’s Diaries has 16 episodes, with a mid-season gap, the show will air the finale in the spring of 2017. Viewers are waiting for the official announcement on Constantine Season 2.
Warner Bros. has also revealed that they have plans to bring back Constantine, the film for a second outing with Keanu Reeves reprising the lead role.
