The CW Douses Fan Renewal Hopes After it Officially Cancelled Season 5 of ‘Hart of Dixie’

Jamie added that it has been a tricky situation for “Hart of Dixie” because the issue is not about the ratings but the timing. She revealed that Rachel got pregnant and wanted to take a maternity leave. Nobody can fault her for that because every woman is entitled to do that, King explained.

She further noted that everything that is happening on the cast has an impact on the way things are decided upon for “Hart of Dixie.” And it even gets more interesting because the show has one of the most devoted fans on television, she cited.

Rachel Bilson has apparently left Los Angeles with long-time boyfriend Hayden Christensen and their baby daughter Briar Rose to ensure that their child is off the limelight and grows like normally.

Although Jamie King still insists that the show will not be cancelled due to its ratings, The CW president Mark Pedowitz has made an announcement during the recent Television Critics Association winter press tour that the network has yet to keenly observe how “Hart of Dixie” rated during its Season 4.

  1. I hate to see a fairly decent show cancel, there’s SO much trash out there —cop shows galore, horror and gory show galore, but not a REAL variety. Where are shows like: western-types, intelligent science fiction, “clean” comedies (like Everybody likes Raymond), family shows that aren’t so FAR left – I mean the rest of the country does NOT look at the world, nor have families like Hollywood and L.A. does – geez – we are far more normal than that!

  2. I so agree about all the crap that is on TV like cop shows ect. I miss shows like Heart of Dixie, I think we need more shows like that. I for one am sick of seeing COP shows, and HORROR shows. Somebody PLEASE think of something different !!

  3. What a fantastic TV show! This is a show that will be missed not just because we enjoy the plot and can’t wait to see what happens next, but more so because we love our friends in Bluebell. The characters are set at a perfect age, in such circumstances, that young and old alike can relate even when the fast paced plot is zany and over the top. Our “friends” have all gone through trials and tribulations we understand, their emotions raw and real, even if at times they appear in serious need of real counseling. But yet they all get their feet on the ground over time. Who didn’t have a tear in their eye as season 4 wrapped up knowing we too were moving away from Bluebell permanently?

  4. This is crap they can do the show without her she was not the reason I watched I actually didn’t care for her that much it’s easy to write her out and later she might want to come back
