The Crow Movie Reportedly about to Get Remade with Jack Huston in the Lead, More Details

Various classics from some decades ago have started coming back to the big screen in the form of remakes and reboots, and for the most part, film fans have been happy with the situation as it’s given them lots of fresh new material to enjoy, while still keeping it in an area they were familiar with. Most recently, we got news that “The Crow” will be getting its own remake as well, with Jack Huston reportedly playing the main role of Eric Draven.

The actor recently got a lot of recognition for his role in “Boardwalk Empire”, and it’s good to see that his career is continuing in a very successful fashion, if these rumors are true. He also has other projects on his plate right now, as he’s also set to play Judah Ben-Hur in “Ben-Hur”, another remake by Paramount and MGM. He’s also going to take the lead in “The Longest Ride” and “Price, Prejudice and Zombies”, and his fans should get plenty of chances to see him in action soon enough.

We also got other reports about the upcoming remake of “The Crow”, including that Jessica Findlay Brown will be playing Shelly Webster, the fiancé of the main character. If this is true, the film should definitely offer a spectacular viewing experience based on the quality of its acting alone, and film fans are in for a lot of excitement once it hits the screen.

Corin Hardy will be handling the directing of the remake – film fans might remember his most recent work in “The Hallow” which came out not long ago, and he’s reportedly been signed on after F Javier Gutierrez was unavailable due to being preoccupied with “The Ring 3”.

Other confirmed names on the crew for “The Crow” include Edward Pressman, Kevin Misher, Jeff Most and Jeff Waxman. It’s worth noting that Pressman already has experience with “The Crow”, as he was also involved in the original film from 1994, so there should be some familiar touch noticeable in the way the production is handled.

There are a few months to go until the production actually begins, according to reports, as it’s scheduled for Q3-Q4 2015. However, the project is actually not that new itself, as it’s been in the works since 2008, or at least has been on the table as a possibility, as people have been expressing interest in remaking the 1994 classic for a long time now. Hopefully, everyone on board will be familiar enough with the original production to handle this with the care and attention it deserves, as there are numerous fans of “The Crow” who would love to see a remake done right.
