Liz herself seems to be a reflection of how fans feel towards this situation, as we’ve seen her going through some different moods lately, and it’s clear that the mystery is affecting her just as well.
That seems to be the only major development in the story right now though, as other than that, things have been more or less the same on all fronts. “The Blacklist” has managed to preserve its original formula to a large extent, which has been a pleasing factor to many of its fans.
On the other hand, some claim that this has made them lose interest in the production lately, as it’s been four seasons without any serious changes.
That’s an arguable point though, as the producers have definitely been experimenting with some more unusual ideas here and there. It’s true that “The Blacklist” has changed less overall compared to other shows of a similar run length, but this is not necessarily a bad thing, considering that it’s managed to retain a large portion of its fan base.
The showrunners clearly have a good idea of what their fans want, so hopefully they’re now also going to address the story with Liz and her father in an appropriate way, instead of rushing through it as some are afraid might happen.
