‘The Blacklist’ Season 4 Episode 7 to Feature the Task Force and Red Tracking Down a Person Helping Out Fugitives by Giving Them Brand New Identities

The American crime drama TV series “The Blacklist” on NBC has always been an action-suspense thriller so when it wandered into the realm of emotional drama, it seems to have suffered in the rating department.

But the show will be picking up the pace and the action in the upcoming episode 7 of its fourth season as it would feature Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington, played by James Spader, working once again with the FBI Task Force to take down a fugitive.

The episode is titled “Dr. Adrian Shaw” and it would air on November 3 on NBC. The doctor is actually an individual who is helping out other criminals by providing fugitives with brand new identities, reports Game & Guide.

The work of Dr. Shaw causes a turmoil within the system, which forces Red and the Task Force to hunt him down and put an end to his ways.

Based on the teaser trailer for the upcoming seventh episode of “The Blacklist,” the episode promises to be filled with tons of action as it would also feature the classic chase between authorities and a criminal, which the TV series has been known for in the first place.

Liz to make her choice

Also in the upcoming episode 7, the blood disease of Alexander Kirk, played by Ulrich Thomsen, who is the father of Liz Keen, played by Megan Boone, seems to be getting worse.

With Kirk’s medical fate hanging in the balance, he seeks help from others while avoiding being caught by authorities.

Liz would apparently make a choice between her father Kirk and Red in episode 7 and she would also ask the advice from Cooper, played by Harold Lennix.

Her choice could be crucial as leaving out the other means that the truth could be gone forever, which Liz does not want to happen most certainly.

Losing its steam

There are now reports coming out saying that “The Blacklist” Season 4 is now losing its steam in terms of rating and viewership.

Some are even saying that the current season might turn out to be the last for the TV series. Others are stating that the decline in the rating of “The Blacklist” does not augur well for the release of its spinoff TV series, entitled “The Blacklist: Redemption,” also on NBC early next year, notes the Parent Herald.

However, some are saying that the decision of the network to move the TV series to Thursday since the middle of Season 2 has greatly affected the rating of “The Blacklist.”

Based on the latest TV ratings, “The Blacklist” Season 4 has now reached the marginal ratings zone, having a 1.2 or lower same-day rating for four out of its first five episodes. But for now, it has a 50-50 chance of getting canceled or renewed.

It won’t be a good timing to have “The Blacklist” canceled when its spinoff, “The Blacklist: Redemption” is slated to premiere in early 2017.

Having a syndication deal with Netflix would also play out well for Sony and NBC to work on something for the breakout hit series. But fans better keep their fingers crossed and hope that the ratings would pick up rather than keep on sliding.

Meanwhile, the fourth episode of “The Blacklist” that aired on October 13 was one of those captivating episodes that had viewers glued to their seat from beginning to start.

The episode, titled “Gaia,” initially showed the attempts of Liz and her husband Tom Keen, played by Ryan Eggold, to get to Alexander Kirk who has been keeping their daughter Agnes from them as sort of leverage.

Liz already made it clear during the episode that the reason why Kirk tracked her down because he needs her or the blood of her daughter Agnes to be able to cure his rare genetic disorder.

But Kirk still insists that the reason why he came back is to be together with his daughter and granddaughter.
