The showrunner explained that the storyline for the third season of “The Blacklist” opens and takes fans into a new chapter where Liz is no longer just an FBI agent. He said that Liz and Red will take fans to a real journey that they have to go to to make the truth comes out in the end.
Bonkenkamp also added that the events that transpired in Season 2 will leave Liz’s line of good and bad has become blurred and the events in the finale hardens her ways and makes her more jaded and careful and really more like Red in a lot of ways.
Based also on early leaks, the second episode of “The Blacklist” Season 3 is titled “Marvin Girard,” which hints that the series will maintain its regular procedural format of searching for a different Blacklister every episode.
However, that may be the surprise that the show is planning to unravel especially now that the storyline already involves Liz as a fugitive.
Bokenkamp also explained that they have blown up the format of “The Blacklist.” He said it is no longer like Red sitting down on a park bench with Liz and says his usual line that goes: ‘Here’s the Blacklister that I want you to go catch.
