‘The Blacklist’ Season 3 to have a Considerably Bleaker Outlook as Liz Keen No Longer Works Within the Law

While there will be a lot of plotlines to work on if they remain fugitives for the most part of Season 3, but “The Blacklist” also revolves around them and how they work well together in putting bad guys to where they belong.

The premise of “The Blacklist” begins with Red, a former US Naval Intelligence officer, who disappeared 20 years earlier to become one of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.

He surrenders himself to FBI Assistant Director Harold Cooper at the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington D.C. Red was subsequently taken to the FBI black site where he claimed that he wishes to help the FBI track down and apprehend the criminals and terrorists he spent the last 20 years associating with.

The criminals are a dangerous and devious bunch that even the US government is unaware of their very existence. Red offered to Cooper his knowledge and assistance in the apprehension of criminals in his blacklist on two conditions. The first is immunity from prosecution while the second is that he wants to work exclusively with Liz Keen, a rookie FBI profiler who was assigned to Cooper.

Red said that his blacklist took him a good number of his criminal years to compile and he believes that he and the FBI have a mutual interest in eliminating the people in his blacklist.

  1. Have heard that there are to be hints of a criminal past for Liz ie Madaline Pratt. As I remember the Boyfriends name was Frank though I guess that was not his real name. This time instead of skirting around the edges how about why she left High School in the first place? Please do not say first love or a desperate need for love. Some will feed into that and some will say “She sure can pick them only not in those terms. Was she being bullied and reacted to it? Or something worse? Although we have to consider that any teacher who decided to touch Lizzie (Was he Frank?) would not have lived very long. Given that Liz was top in her class re profiling I would think that form of intuition would help her and Red much more than any criminal activity. Just be fair to that girl. I like Red Liz but do not belong to any of those assorted groups. I am a bit of a conspiracy nut but not as bad as some. I am also sensitive to a number of favorite characters on the Blacklist. After all Liz and Red go through I hope She ends up with someone falling for her because of who she then not because she once showed them love.
