‘The Blacklist’ Season 3 Episode 11 Will Deal with a Raymond Reddington Identity Crisis

Just when Red and Liz thought that they’re already past all their obstacles, here comes another one to plague them.

Fans of NBC’s crime-thriller drama TV series “The Blacklist” will be treated to two Reds in the upcoming episode.

As per the official synopsis, episode 11 titled “Mr. Gregory Devry,” will see another man that claims he’s the real Reddington.

The trailer or the episode alone was confusing enough for fans. The preview starts by giving viewers a glimpse of a man around Red’s age. He then utters that he was surprised upon learning that it was him who was helping the FBI.

The man is also shown being captured and placed in the same glass box that James Spader’s Red and Megan Boone’s Liz were held in the past.

Raymond appears to not recognize him on the trailer, but fans know how the smooth-talking Red could be deceiving.

Liz is also shown sitting and facing the man. The clip ends with Red walking towards the box and the man claims point blank that Red is a sham to which the high-profile criminal shrugs the accusation with a laugh.

The promo reveals that the man claiming to be the real Raymond Reddington has turned himself in to the FBI and says that the Red the agents have been working with all this time is an impostor.

What’s worse is that the man seems to validate his statements as he knows all about the task force’s previous case.

He sure has the FBI agents confused as he knows intel on certain things that Red also knows about.

According to Melty, it’s obvious that the man is Red’s impostor since all of Reddington’s clientele recognizes his face.

The website reports that his network of clients wouldn’t be easily deceived by someone claiming to be the real deal.

Whoever the man is though, he certainly did his homework. Either he’s a very efficient stalker in obtaining all the detailed records of nearly everyone on the Blacklist or a previous partner of Red who’s gone rogue.

Christian Post speculates that instead of an impostor, the man could be Red’s twin brother who was probably also working with him during his criminal days.

If this is indeed true, then what purpose does his brother have to set his twin up for fraud? In fact, what purpose does the man have to claim he’s the real Reddington?

Some reports speculate that Spader’s Red is really an impostor and that Liz will be the one who will really be affected by this turn of events.

This will also be a massive shocker for those who have been watching the show for the past three seasons, but some reports say that since the show has been renewed for a fourth season, this could be a great focus on the upcoming season.

The last episode changed the playing field for the characters as Liz’ name was finally cleared when Red outwitted The Cabal and forced them to agree to his terms.

The former FBI profiler was exonerated, but it was heavily hinted that Red had replaced the Director and joined The Cabal.

Tom, played by Ryan Eggold, who delivered Karakurt to the federal courthouse also gave Red’s lawyer, Marvin Gerard, everything he needed to drop all the charges against Liz.

Unfortunately for all Red’s efforts, the former FBI profiler had to plead to involuntary manslaughter for killing the Attorney General, which means she can no longer return to the FBI.

Fans of the show were pleased that The Cabal conflict was finally put to a close and they were also satisfied with how the producers wrapped up the story arc but it doesn’t mean that all will be well with the two protagonists.
