The Blacklist Season 2 Successful with Fans, Producer Hints at the Future Developments

“The Blacklist” has been one of the more successful shows to hit the screen recently, and each episode has been drawing in more and more viewers. Those who’ve decided to give it a chance quickly find out why, as the writing and production style are nearly unmatched, and the people behind the show seem to be putting a lot of effort on maintaining an aura of intrigue from one episode to the next.

Recently, episode 8 of the show saw some dramatic developments. Several months in the past, it appeared, Liz had shot Tom and then informed Red of his death – however, the truth was that she actually drove him to a secret underground physician who helped get him back on his feet. Subsequently, Tom undergoes a lot of interrogation about Berlin and Red, during which he reveals that he might have loved her.

Meanwhile, the FBI manage to find Fitch, and realize they’re in a tricky situation when they discover a bomb strapped to his neck. Fitch is taken to a safe location where the bomb’s signal is blocked, and the FBI begin to disarm the bomb, only to discover that it’s also running on a timer apart from a remote detonator.

The executive producer of the show, Joe Carnahan, has been quite involved with the community, and has made various exciting revelations when giving interviews and making public presentations about the production. According to him, there is an episode planned for the current season which will see a return to the show’s roots in terms of writing style, in particular the episodes about Anslo Garrick.

Tom and his relationship with Red continue to be major points of interest for fans of the show, although not much has been officially revealed about him in this regard yet. The Interrogation scene was a major move forward in this direction, although various questions remain to be answered, and it’s likely that this subplot will be uncovered little by little until the end of the season. This is also something that the producers have been hinting at.

The Blacklist Season 2

In any case, the show is expected to run for quite a while from now, given its immense success – and the producers seem to already be planning their future ideas for its plot development. It’s not known exactly what direction the show will take after season 2 is over, and it’s too early to discuss that – but it’s expected that Carnahan will at least give some hints about that once the production crew feels more comfortable with the state of their work. Which, given how fast they’ve been working so far, shouldn’t be too far into the future.
